According to her daughter, Anne Serling, Carol died on Jan.
9, a month before her 92nd birthday.
Carol and Rod — who grew up in Binghamton and graduated from Binghamton Central in 1943 — married in 1948.
Their marriage lasted until Rod's death at the age of 50 in 1975.
Carol was predeceased by her mother, Anne Caldwell, who died when Carol was just 2, and was raised by her grandparents, Frank and Louise Caldwell.
